Privacy Policy

Pulserie monitors public web pages you choose. You point it at competitor URLs; it crawls those public pages on a schedule, detects content changes, filters noise with an AI model, and sends you alerts and a daily digest. This policy describes the personal data involved in providing that service.

• Account data. Your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash (via Better Auth); we never store them in plain text.
• Monitoring configuration. The URLs you choose to monitor and your settings for each one.
• Crawled content. The public page content we fetch from the sites you monitor, the change history we derive from it, extracted field values, and compressed screenshots of those public pages.
• Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your plan and status. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; Pulserie never sees or stores your card number.
• Operational data. Basic technical logs and error reports needed to run and secure the service.

The pages we crawl are public and are the sites you selected. We are not trying to collect personal data about third parties; if a monitored public page happens to contain personal data, we process it only to detect changes and show it back to you.

We use the data above to:

• run the service: crawl your chosen pages, detect changes, and generate screenshots;
• filter out unimportant changes using an AI model;
• send you alerts, the daily digest, and account-related email;
• process subscriptions and manage billing;
• keep the service secure, debug issues, and improve reliability.

We rely on the following GDPR legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service and process your subscription); our legitimate interests (to keep the service secure, reliable, and functioning); and your consent where it is required. You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis we rely on.

We use a small set of trusted providers to run Pulserie. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Cloudflare R2 stores the compressed screenshots, served from cdn.pulserie.com.
• Stripe processes payments and stores card data as the payment processor.
• Resend delivers transactional and alert email.
• Groq runs the AI model that filters change noise. We send it page content to classify; we do not send it your account credentials.
• Our hosting provider (a Coolify-managed server in the EU) runs the application and database.
• A self-hosted Bugsink instance receives error telemetry (identifiers and stack traces). We keep application payloads and personal data out of these reports.

We keep the change history and screenshots for a monitored site while that site is being monitored, so you can see how it has changed over time. When you delete a site, we delete its associated changes and screenshots. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, including your account and monitoring data. We may retain limited records where we are legally required to (for example, billing records for tax purposes).

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, the right to restrict or object to certain processing, and the right to withdraw consent. You can delete your account and its data directly from your settings. For any other request, email us and we will respond within the time frames required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

We aim to keep data in the EU. Some sub-processors listed above may process data outside the EU. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.

Pulserie uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site ad trackers.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app.
